THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE.

  • SBCTC Official Definition: The scope of this project is replacement of the HP3000s with next-generation HP-UX hardware and limited changes to legacy core applications and databases so they can successfully function on the modern computer hardware platforms. It is expected that this approach will provide an estimated productive functional lifespan of 10 years, providing sufficient timeframe for SBCTC to implement a long-term strategy of modernizing the core applications with a commercial Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution.
  • Michael’s Plain Talk Definition: The SBCTC is changing its computer to a better one. This is the computer that the community and technical colleges use for student, financial aid and personnel data. Some software has to be adjusted to work on the new computer. This fix will buy time for the SBCTC to really improve the software on the state system .This will be better for us.
