How to Balance Online Learner Needs and Instructor Workload

We had a great online session on How to Balance Online Learner Needs and Instruction Workload today in Kirk Library.  We’ve been able to take away some very good ideas.  The presentation centered on three main points:

  • how to adapt your course by using course mapping, course design, and strategically placed assignments
  • how to foster overall student to student interaction
  • how to manage instructor presence more effectively

Access to the presentation will be granted for three business days following the seminar date to review anything you missed during the live broadcast.  You do not need to log in to access the presentation.

If you miss this time period, we also purchased a CD recording of the session.  Once it arrives, it’ll be available for you to watch at your leisure–just come to Kirk Library to borrow it!  We might even set up another viewing of this session in a classroom later in March if there’s enough interest.  Do I hear a “yes?”
