Finding Images on the Internet

I have listed some of my favorite online image sources.

Google Images  http://images.google.com

Bing Images www.bing.com/images

Yahoo images http://images.search.yahoo.com

Geograph http://www.geograph.org.uk/

NASA images www.nasaimages.org

Morguefile www.morguefile.com

“A morgue file is a place to keep post production materials for use of reference, an inactive job file. This morgue file contains free high resolution digital stock photography for either corporate or public use.”

If you want to find images by choosing multiple colors, give these sites a try.

Chromatik  http://chromatik.labs.exalead.com

This site allows you to search a selection of flicker images by one or more colors and/or keyword.

Multicolr Search Lab http://labs.ideeinc.com/multicolr

With this site you can select up to 10 colors of Flicker images, however you are not able to search by keyword. What I like best about this site is having the ability to go directly to flicker by left clicking on the image.

  1. These are great! I always just go to Google but these other sites looks really useful. I know Flickr and Google can let you search by CC license but I’m not sure about the others.

    Thanks, Dale!
